PROs and CONs(be careful of your deposit!)

Pros:
I have lived here for a while on temp basis. My apartment is updated one and constructed in quality material. Granite top counter, contemporary kitchen cabinet, hardwoodfloor and quality paint etc makes us feel comfortable. The two bedroom is not large but good designed.

Besides the pool the previous viewer highly appraised, the landscaping is good. The management team is responsive and very-kind.

Cons:
Howerever, there are some downsides of the apartments :

1)Safety issue---The access gate never locked which is against their ad. I will feel more safe if the gate closes at nighttime(like 9:00Pm7:00am'). As a result, the electronic key is useless.

Suggestions: Do some repair(if any problem)..close gate at some period of time ' If management really cares for residents's safety, I believe they could do something on that. DEER VALLY says they have gated door, why I never see it closed'

2)The gym is small and The operation time of gym is not flexible although Mr.Frank is very nice trainer. There is no way residents can enter gym without Frank. It only open from early morning and no later than 7:00pm during weekdays. In the weekend, Sunday is close and Saturday open from noon to 6:00pm. It is really not convenient for work people like us. We have no time to exercise at early morning and like to go exercise after work. But the gym is close when we go off work. We can't swim in that pool like in swimming club since the pool is full of kids in the afternoon and at night.

Update:
1.Parking is not easy after 8:00pm for second car.
2. Get to know-- rent is increasing whenever you renew though the percent is acceptable.
3. It is one of worst of apartment we've ever dealed with! HORRIBLE deduction from our deposit. They charged us 250$ around. Current or future tenants please e careful of your deposit!!

Here is the story I hated to tell. But please aware this when you decide to move to Deer Valley.

We terminated our lease with deer valley before end of lease date due to job change. That's fine, we paid the one month penalty and moved out of the place almost two months ealier. We usually cleaned the apartment every one week so the apartement we lived is very clean. Additionally , before we returned our key, we spent half an day to clean up every place we can do.

So where does our half an day labor go' It is so surprised when we saw the depoit statement.
1. CARPET cleaner 65$ (did they require tenant do deep clean before move out' !)

2. charges for cleaning needed 65$( did tennant have to provide cleaning stuff as well'!)

3. interior paining 65$( tenants have to paint the wall before move out''!!)

4. AUM water charges ( this one is ridiculous we have to pay the water between the time we moved out and the end of day we are responsible for rent) As the time we returned keys, we shouldn't be responsible for any utility charge for the apartment any more.

The biggest regret is we didn't take any picture of move-out state as an evidence before we moved out. As a result, we lost our advandge to argue with them on the deposit once we left the apartment.

The experience we lived in DEER VALLEY is negative overall. I will reserve the delights to recommend this aparment to other people.
