I called this apartment today around 11:30am. Someone picjked up the phone and then hung up. I was driving in the area and decided to stop by. We spoke with a gentleman that I assume was a manager, he did not introduce himself. He showed us a model of a 3 bedroom. He seemed polite enough during the tour after i had to ask all of the questions about the property, no info was freely given. When we returned to the office we followed him into his office, he handed me my id and then sat down. I asked if there was a waiting list and if so how long was it. He said he had a waiting list and "i'll need a $200 money order to put you on it". It just seemed a little short to me. I was an apartment manager for several years. I always sold my property to the tenants, i didn't just walk infront of them to the apartment and not say a word. It appears that this property managment company hires managers that do not have the personality to "sell" their properties. he didn't tell us that the $200 would go towards the deposit he tell us if they had any specials and when asked if any were availabel he said "no, no one has given notice" and didn't say that they usually have 1 every few months or anything. It was unprofessional. I'd hate to see if their property managment had a person come in to check out the property themselves, which should happen frequently.
