I have never lived at such a great close-knit community like Slate Creek. Their functions rock! In June, we all gathered for a Spaghetti feed that was out of this world. The Slate Creek staff including the manager was in the kitchen making homemade pasta and meatballs for the dinner. It was a lot of work to get it so very Italian authentic. Yum! In July, there was a giant Resident BBQ. It was catered by Back 40 BBQ with chicken, ribs, beans, potato salad, and all the fixins. Dessert was apple and peach pie with ice cream all served by the staff in cowboy hats and western wear. We got to dunk maintenace in the dunk tank. There were pony wagon rides and character artist. I even won a gift certificate to Target in the raffle. I can say that they really put on an awesome event at Slate Creek. The staff is friendly and the manager participates and is there every time. This was a rarity when I have lived at other communities. I will be here until I buy.
