There are many reasons to avoid moving to Slate Creek, from the very poorly maintained grounds and repairs that never happen, to the "Sierra College Dorm" atmosphere including loud, obnoxious kids and car thefts galore, to the rediculous prices for too-small apartments. But without question the worst, most horible reason to avoid Slate Creek is the office staff!
The women inside the sales office are the rudest, most unfriendly, non-customer oriented people I, and everyone else I've talked to, have ever dealt with. As soon as they fake a smile and get your signature, they honestly don't want to see you again. They interupt, make fun of, snicker about, and scowl at you as soon as you walk into the office. If you have a problem with the girls in the office, AND YOU WILL!, and want to see a manager, the manager will immediately side with the other girls without ever hearing the situation, then laugh at you as you walk out.
Oh, and beware...THEY HAVE A CONTRACT WITH ROSEVILLE TOW TO HAVE YOUR CAR TOWED FROM ANYWHERE THE TOW LADY WANTS!!! My neighbors car was towed as it sat in a spot with NO TOW SIGNS and NO RED CURB!! We went to the Roseville City Offices and the Police Dept. and was told this is illegal and are liable for 3 X's the tow fee!! ...which was $270 by the way! (That's $810 !!)
According to The Roseville Police Dept. ,
A car which is towed from public or private property without just cause, ie. a sign with the city code displayed or a red curb marking, is towed illegally and the towing company is liable." Also, "The contract between the aprtment complex and tow company states that when a car is towed from the property, a property manager MUST be present to authorize the tow."
Niether happened with my friends car and now she is taking them to court for 3X's the tow fee. And they couldn't have been more rude!
Anyway, I hope that if your looking to move, don't be fooled with the fake smile in the office, and go elsewhere where your $$ will get you a decent place to live.
