Can't really complain

I am reading all these reviews and I am a bit disturbed. To me it seems like people have nothing better to do then complain. I had a friend say to me the other day, Oh, I just read the reviews of Slate Creek on apartment ratings and I would never move there .

Being a resident of Slate Creek for the past couple years I read these comments and all I can do is shake my head. I am not saying that people don t have legitimate complaints, I just cant believe the over exaggeration. I see people ripping the complex apart because they have rude neighbors. I don t see this being the fault of the complex it rarely is. There is really no way of stopping people from being rude pigs with total lack of consideration for their surroundings. I see comments like.. they will let anyone move in here Well yeah they will being a Realtor I know for a fact that any apartment has to let anyone in that qualifies and you cant discriminate. Doesn t anyone understand this'

Some of the things I see are true for sure. The parking here does suck. As I remember from apartments I have lived at in the past I saw the same thing. I think that is everywhere. I do hear my neighbors sometimes and there are people that have parties. When I stop and think about this there are what' 500 apartments here' I live with thousands of people and I am going to have to deal with their lifestyle also. All I have to say is this is apartment living. Everywhere you go with this many people around you it will be the same.

As for how I feel Like I said it is apartment living. I have not had any problems outside of the normal that happens everywhere. Living here has actually been a relief to me. I sold my house and moved in here. I cannot tell you how nice it is to not have to be the one to do the fixing when something breaks. Owning my own home I shelled out thousands $$$ on repairs only to have to do it again sometime later. I remember having to use a laundry mat for 2 weeks while waiting to get my washer repaired. Now being in an apartment I call and put in a work order and within the week someone comes out.

There is one huge plus here for me, the location cannot be matched. I work right up the street and I get to keep my kids in the Eureka School District. I looked at all the new apartments over by the Galleria when I was apartment hunting and the thought of sending my kids to school over there scared me. Slate Creek is a bit older but I am more interested in the quality of my family s life then the age of my appliances.

Granite Bay Renter has very low standards. Slate Creek apartments is a horrible place to live. Everything negative that has been posted is true.

I've lived here far longer than 2 years. 10 to be exact and I know what I'm talking about when I say they don;t care who they bring in here. You used to not have the low lifes you now have. Why don;t you call the Roseville Police Department and ask them what they think about this place being safe. And you think your kids are safe here? Oh and by the way, when your kid goes to Granite Bay High School, you may want to keep in mind it has a very high drug usage. Of course you may think I'm making it all up or have no clue. Beleive me I do, my own child went there and hated it.

I don't think there are many exagerations in the postings. I thought that when I first moved in and was reading the comments, but after living there (and several other complexes) there really is no exagerations and the place really is that bad, with exceptions of the few lucky people who mind their business and probably never had to call maintenance or ever had any problems.
