Renter Beware- don't be fooled by the serene and pleasant surroundings of Slate Creek Roseville. These apartments are shoddy and old, unsecure, unclean, and the management is awful.

Shoddy and Old-- The kitchens and bathrooms are old and falling apart. The cupboards are held together by wood glue because they are too cheap to replace things when they are falling apart. The bathtubs have leaky and broken fixtures. If you ask management to replace anything they will tell you things are fine or ignore you. If you replace something out of your own pocket THEY WILL CHARGE YOUR DEPOSIT FOR IT WHEN YOU LEAVE!

Unsecure-- Car breakins are common here, and even some car thefts. Security is horrible. My car was broken into twice. Two other neighbors had their cars broken into and one even had their car stolen!

Unsafe -- My neighbors wife tripped on the uneven, cracking concrete sidewalks and smashed her head on the sidewalk. Some of the wood balconies are so rotted that they have recently been seen held up by two-by-fours while the management figures out how to fix them. The stairwells in my building had to be replaced because they were found to be unstable...not a good thing when you live on the 3rd floor!

Unclean-- The trash dumpsters are always overflowing because the management tries to save money by compacting their own trash...the only problem is they can't keep up with all the trash! So residents get to enjoy the sight and aroma of rotting trash and junk piles at every trash container.

Horrible Management --- Unresponsive, greedy, unprofessional management that will try to jack your rent up every lease renewal and then steal your deposit when you finally leave in disguist.

Bottom Line--- RENT SOMEWHERE ELSE... You will regret moving here.

Yes, I am setting up a Slate Creek Hate Site...coming soon for all current and previous residents. I am going to use my web marketing skills to make sure that it's the first thing anyone sees when they google Slate Creek!! Karma sucks!! Hope they have fun trying to get renters after I am done with them.

If you go to the Holland properties website on the internet you can get information to contact the place that owns the properties. It sounds like you need to try to go further up and talk to someone at Holland properties not locally at Slate Creek. They have to follow what the company says to do most of the time. You could write a letter to Holland Properties and see what happens. That is the company that actually owns the properties. Slate Creek only manages them. Holland propeties can change how Slate Creek does business if they want to. Maybe if enough people write to Holland Properties perhaps something will be done to change things.

I know exactly what the post mean about the place is falling apart. When I lived there, one of the stairways was cracked and starting to slope downward. We keep telling the office and they kepp telling us, it passes code so it's fine. We even called Holland Properties (even more unresponsive than the office). It finally took a child falling and the mom calling and treatning to sue to get it taped off. It took another month to get fixed. I'm glad someone wrote something about this since I completely forgot about it. It were sooooo many problems that I forgot about the few other ones outside my apartment, lol.
