Yeah, they may offer a $200 move in bonus, (that will take two months to get to you) and it may look nice, good schools, etc. This is THE WORST place I've EVER lived! I grew up in apartments, some nice, some not so nice, but this one was the worst. My husband, daughter and I moved in here in a hurry because we were in need of a place fast, and reluctantly signed a year lease. It's no wonder they make you sign a year long lease! The management staff all seem to have down syndrome, the maintenance staff must be completely stoned, otherwise I cannot possibly see how they call what they do 'maintenance'.
About a week after we moved in, we noticed a urine smell. We could not pinpoint exactly where it was coming from, but somewhere in the vicinity of the dining room. We called maintenance and after about a month of calling, they sent someone out who ripped up the carpet, spray painted some white stuff all over our red wall, and then left. Awesome. It stayed like that from December 2007, until we moved out, October 1, 2008. We tried calling to have it fixed, and finally in March, they offered us new carpet!! Sweet! But, with me on disability, and my husband a wounded veteran, how were we suppossed to move all of our stuff out' And to where' They're response' 'Well, you can just move it in the breezway for two days.' THE BREEZWAY'!' Are you *&@%ing kidding me' So am I supposed to sit out on the porch with a shotgun all day'
Geez.
Not only that, anyone who's lived in the valley knows how wet the winters are. Well, in Slate Creeks super-fantastic quality slums, they have a gigantic mold problem. I am allergic to mold, the management knows this. In my daughters room, and in our bedroom, the mold was so bad that when my husband went to hang some christmas lights in the window sill, and the whole thing just crumbled! We called maintenance, who came out with the manager, looked at the window, said 'yeah, thats mold. We'll have to replace both the window frames. We'll send someone out here in the next few days.' Well, I must have been the one stoned this time, because for the life of me, I can't recall ever seeing someone come out. It may have been the mold getting to my head though. Allergic reactions can be pretty fun!!

Then around the spring time, we had a ridiculous infestation of cockroaches!!
They stayed around until around the end of summer, when we took our on measures to rid ourselves of these pests. Management sent the exterminator out twice.
I felt like I was living in 'Joe's Apartment'.

The last straw came in August, when I was nearly assaulted by some little jerk at 4 in the morning while walking to my car to retrieve something. My dog scared him off, thank God, but it may have been much much worse.
I later found out that the same little jerk assaulted a 12 year-old girl. Yeah. 12 years old!! I informed the manager about the connection of events, and you know what her response was' 'I haven't read the file yet.' This was almost two weeks after both incidents!! I told her on the spot that I wanted out of my lease. She told me I'd have to write this email to their lawyers, and go through all this other ridiculous crap just to get out of this awful place my daughter and I were stuck in, ALONE, while my husband was working out of town.

We moved out October 1, a month and a few days before out lease was technically over, but if we incur any charges, you can bet I will fight it tooth and nail. I refuse to give these negligent, apathetic, bozo's any more money.

IF YOU ARE PLANNING OT MOVE IN HERE-
PLEASE RECONSIDER!!

Management does not care about its residents, the property, or the goings on inside the complex. If you care about your families safety and well being, please move somewhere else. Its not worth whatever perks they're throwing you.
