I have lived at Slate Creek for 2 years. I have wonderful neighbors and the staff is so nice. My dishwasher stopped working and they came out to look at it and they said it just needed cleaned out. The issue happened again and finally they replaced my dishwasher. It took them 3 days to replace it, but with over 600 apartments I can understand. Since then I have had no issues. I don't understand why everyone is complaining about staff and issues, they just have something up their butts.

muffintop362 - If this is the best place you have ever lived, I would hate to see the other places you've been. Yikes

We also lived there almost 2 years and had lived there when the apts. were new so we know alot about the place. Mainatance never was a problem when they first opened because they had two offices, one for Indigo Creek and one for Slate Creek and seperate maintance offices. They also had Roseville city garbage trucks coming in to empty the trash cans. Things changed the second time around when we rented here. At first everything was good and we ourselves had no problems until they rented the upstairs to people who would party every friday night until 3 pm. We'd have to call security. There was no end in sight. We noticed they kept renting to more and more people and doubling up in the apartments so that you'd seen 5-6 people living in one place who weren't related. People who didn't respect the rules. We also had mold growing even though we cleaned the window sills so my youngest developed Asthma and we all suffered. We learned to live with it. It just seemed like the place was getting worse and worse and we are not "complainers". We paid our rent on time, liked the office staff and talked to them often, bringing them coffee etc. We had no issues with anyone or the office staff. In fact we even put in a good review just like you have and we had lived there 7-12 months at the time. Things went downhill very quickly though with having problems with other kids who didn't belong on the property coming in and hurting kids who lived there. Also teens hanging around with nothing to do and picking on the littler kids so they could no longer play on the basketball courts or ride their bikes very much. We've lived in apts all our lives so we know they can be loud and you have to be understanding about noise but not unreasonable noise up until 3 am when you yourself have to get up by 4 am the next morning. We don't know what happened to the people who lived above us as we moved out of state, we also know 600 apartments are alot, but there is no reason why the can't go back to having 2 offices to manage the places. Upon move out we also got a bill for 2 hours of what they called extensive cleaning as if we had left the apartment filthy. We cleaned with 2 other people(who are clean freaks)touched up walls with paint, went above what was called for in cleaning. The only dirty thing was the carpet. Because we werent' there to do a "walk out" I think no one really went in to see what had been done so we of course talked to Emma over the phone telling her we wouldn't pay the charge for cleaning. What we should have done is take pictures and made sure to have a walk through with one of the office staff and then a receipt saying exactly what we owed at that time. Anyway, I'd be careful. Document things and don't settle for thinking because you live in apartments this place is normal. We now live in another complex out of state and see a big difference in the way it is run. We have no noise issues, mold and it rains alot here. If you begin to notice things don't ignore them. Take them to the managment right away. Keep going, be polite but insist on a safe, noise controlled place to live. Try to have a good relationship with them. It really does count. They finally did take the amount of the extensive cleaning off of our bill, but we still paid for carpet cleaning and a spot that was there when we first moved into the place that we had documented on our move in sheet, but because we were now out of state we were really at their mercy and because we took no pictures we also were at their mercy.

We lived there for 6 years. When we first moved in there were 2 offices and the place was managed by Trammel Crow. They did an awesome job. When the complex changed ownership, things went downhill fast. They rented the apartment above us to the most inconsiderate, rude woman. Her small child ran laps inside from before sun-up to well after sun-down. She "watered" her plants on her balcony to the extent that it poured down into my patio as if someone had tipped over a wading pool. She placed planters at the top of the stairs creating a hazard in which one resident's small child tripped and fell down the stairs. My car was keyed, cars broken into, vandalized. I have to say when we moved out, maintenance was great on the walkthrough. He just signed off on it, knowing they were going to have to rip out the walls and replace carpet. Again due to the lovely neighbor upstairs. Her bathroom toilet somehow overflowed to the point it was pouring into my walls, lighbulbs and out my a/c vents. It's not a bad place, just needs better firm management and a stricter criteria for screening applicants
