Not what you are Expecting

When I first moved into Slate Creek, I thought it was really great. The office throw parties for the entire complex, they gave me a discount so I could afford to move in and the area is really nice, but after about 6 months, I really started to understand all the nasty complaints from people on apartment ratings. After a couple of months the office staff starts to just ignore you. I've had endless problems with my apartment and they try sooo hard to blame me for it. I'm a single 28 year old female who is hardly ever home...how can I break the dishwasher myself. I didn't even use the dishwasher for the first 3 month since I'm never home. I always eat at my boyfriends or I eat out. When I finally decided to use the dishwasher, it didn't work. It made some weird grumbling sound wouldn't start so I called the office. No one answered so I left a message. I never heard anything back after 2 days so I called again. This time I spoke to a Michelle and she said she would get a maintenance guy out ASAP as she never got my message. I waited 4 more days for someone to come out and look at it! I even gave permission to enter. Then, the idiot looks at it, tried to start it (exactly what I did) and say humm, it doesn't work, I have to call a repair guy out. A week went by and nothing so I call the office again and... big suprise.... no one answered so I left a message. I never got a call back 3 days later so this time I walked in to speak with someone. The lady, didn't catch her name, said we don't make repairs when they are caused by the tenant. WTF!!!!!! No way! I pitched a fit telling her I've never used it and now it won't work. After 10 minutes of arguing and me almost walking out saying fine I'm going to call Cal. Housing Auth. and she finally agreed to have someone out tomorrow. Well it was actually 3 days later and a repair guy came out and fixed it. What drama over a stupid dishwasher. Next, I parked in my covered spot as I always do. When my friends dropped me off that evening I saw that my car was gone. I thought it was stolen so I call the police. They informed me it had been towed at my expense. Another WTF!!!! I called the tow company and they said they towed my car because another resident showed them a rental agreement with my parking spot number on it. I've been parking there for 4 and a half months and my rental agreement shows that spot. Of course I had to miss work the next day and match into the office and show them my rental agreement and inform them that I was wrongfully towed. She gave me made attitude. I finally said I was going to sue them and walked out. I was chased down by some guy and he said he would look into it. It wasn't until 3pm the next day that they called me and the tow company and explained it was an error in the office and the accidentally assigned the same parking spot to a new tenant who of course had me towed. I did get my car back, but missed an entire day of work for drama that WASN'T my fault. Did they appologize, of course not. So far I'm trying to get out of my lease and have spoken to a couple of people willing to take over my lease. This place is sooo not what I was expecting and you couldn't pay me enough to stay here. Oh yeah, and don't forget... if for some God awful reason you move into this place make sure it's not next to a dumpster. They overfill like crazy and smell for days!!! Yuck!

I've lived here for 2 years and there's no one by the name of Michelle in that office. You must be mistaking these apartments for some other ones. Or maybe the whole thing is made up? How funny that people like you don't only have one problem at a time but a bunch? Might be fiction?

dora27: You're being awfully defensive for being a tenant, you're basically calling this person a liar, what do you care? They had a bad experience, in a place this big it only takes a tiny oversight by the mgmt to really screw things up. All you're doing is bolstering my case that you're a staffer, trying to lie their way to a good review.
firefly159: I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the parking situation, take a look at my review and you'll see my experience was somewhat related.
