DON'T LIVE HERE!

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2009
I moved into an upgraded 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom at Slate Creek two years ago. Right after I moved in, I was walking through my apartment barefoot with my fiancee, and stepped on a hypodermic needle. The needle was not mine, or my fiancee's, so I immediately went down to the office to file a complaint. They claimed that it wasn't their fault and insinuated that I had placed it there in order to step on it so I could sue them. I was livid. I immediately called their main office and told them what had happened. They told me that I couldn't prove anything, and that I had no claim. I had to immediately get tested for everything under the sun, including Hepatitis and HIV. I've been tested twice since then, and my doctors say that I am clear, however the stress and financial strain this has put on me has done serious damage. DO NOT MOVE IN TO SLATE CREEK! The office people are rude, they don't care about anyone's safety or well being.
Also, I am in the most expensive apartment they have at Slate Creek, and the unit is CONSTANTLY falling apart. The handle for the sliding glass door broke a week after move in, the fronts of the "brand new" cabintes began falling off two days after move in, the caulking around the "brand new" bathtub in the master bedroom started cracking immediately, and I have no doubt that the apartment will try and take my deposit for these repairs, even thought I tried to have the maintenance fix them. I am paying 1629.00 a month for this apartment, and that seems to be two times what I should.
