If you don't know your rights please brush up on them because ---- preys on the innocent. My husband joined the Army and I did not get a paycheck for over 30 days and she tried to evict me. It took an Army official to call her and let her know that is against the law and if she proceeded with that eviction they would have Jag back me up and she could face a year in jail. I have tons of stories. Just watch your back and know your rights and if you have somewhere else to go I recommend you do not rent there.

Unfortunately, people who are in the military have different laws that supersede any and all lease contracts. So, if you don't know that then guess you're the loser respondents to a perfectly viable complaint.

Unfortunately??? Well obviously being in the military isn't something you're proud of... You should be happy about that law. Still there is no excuse for not having enough money in your savings. If you knew your check was late, you should have had a plan to get the money some other way.

They are TOTALLY unethical. Slate Creek has no integrity!Upon my move out, Slate Creek ripped out the carpets in my apartment, and proceeded to completely replace them, (and throw the old ones away). I paid 400.00 to a carpet cleaning service to completely overhaul the carpets before I left. I know how apartments are and I was aware that the carpets needed to be spotless. Upon handing in the keys, I also handed over the receipt of the cleaning company I used, informing the guy that if they weren't happy with the cleanliness of the carpets, they could call the company and they would come back in and clean them over again for FREE. Well, Slate Creek called another company to check the carpets, then ripped them out and replaced them (they threw them away, so there would be no evidence to back up their story). They also took 1700.00 out of my deposit to do so. . . without informing me, or calling the original cleaning company to re-clean them. So, I'm now out 1700.00 for the new carpets (out of my deposit), and 400.00 (out of my pocket) because the cleaning company claims they never got a call to come in and re-clean the carpets before giving a refund. SHAME ON YOU Slate Creek, for completely taking advantage of me.

They did the same to me but they remodeled my apartment and are trying to charge me for it. I don't know how they get away with it but I reported them to the better business bureau. Hopefully they get it together before they lose all their tenants.

Slate Creek prey on any opportunity to take advantage of anyone. They lie in the face of their peer and under oath. They are evil wicked witches who run that place like a Penitentiary. I hope the better business bureau gets ahold of their records if they haven't burned them to cover their asses.
