Moving soon and glad to go.

We've lived at Somersett Hills for a few years now and we're moving very soon. We would like to stay but we feel we have to leave. Having spoken with several others here they have the same complaints and others. Some have left already and others are moving ASAP.
About six months ago the manager retired, the assistant manager (Lynn) became manager and a new assistant manager was hired (the new assistant manager seems nice). It is worthy to note that the new manager is owner (or as she will tell you repeatedly, the owners wife).
The old manager was bad enough but the new manager, Lynn, is the main reason we will be moving in the very near future. She ignores our complaints and when you talk to her for any length of time it is apparent she is very discriminatory and not at all capable of doing the job she has. She not only discriminates against race but also age, perceived income level and her governing rules. Things started getting bad before the old manager left, but since then they have gotten intolerable.
The parking situation at Somersett hills is something that needs addressing (fairly, not being selective). There is one covered space for each apartment and free-for-all public parking. Most spaces, including mine, are quite a distance from your apartment. We have seen you can get a better space if the manager likes you, you are family or friend. We were told no changes allowed period.
We work odd hours and consequently sleep odd hours and that is another problem, the noise. Recently the noise has become a major problem. The early morning motorcycles (Harley's) revving to warm up at 7am. The kids in the pool screaming (very annoying) all weekend (and every day without school, can't deal with it for summer vacation) until 10pm and neighbors with their loud music. We don't live that close to the pool and didn't use to hear anyone, we do now. And a lot of the noise comes from people that we believe don't live here. These things go ignored by the management.
If you decide to live at Somersett Hills it is suggested you either become friends with the manager or stay clear of her completely (which may not be easy since we've seen her chase people across the parking lot to yell at them). We were told by others leaving here there are harassing phone calls to deal with, luckily we haven't received any yet, we believe them.
Overall, Somersett Hills has lost it's charm for us and apparently many others. With so much available we see no need to pay the maximum rent for the area or for the problems. It may become better in the future, it's too late for us.
PS. All of us here at Somersett Hills would like to say "You're Welcome" to the manager and owner. Our recent rent increase bought them a new truck and SUV.
