Give us a chance!

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
As one of the leasing agents at Haverhill, I can?t help but be biased about our community. I have been in this industry for years and have worked at many different communities, some being of 200 units or less. Most of these complexes had unhappy residents who were very hard to please. I can gladly say that I find Haverhill residents (keep in mind that Haverhill has 400 units) are the LEAST "high-maintenance" residents I have ever worked for/with. I mention this because it really makes our jobs at the leasing office much easier...and very enjoyable! (I?m such a kiss-butt but I promise I am telling the truth!)
It?s also a quiet community, but not because we have too many vacancies...we don?t. Our occupancy is outstanding, during which this time of year is usually very slow. It honestly is quiet here because we have extremely respectful residents along with a "no second-chance/zero tolerance" policy. Wild parties are forbidden at Haverhill, you simply get evicted.
As for mice problems, please realize there are fields to the front and back of us. It is an exaggeration to say that every building is infested with them. As a matter of fact, I think there are only two or three units that have experienced a problem in the past. Although this will sound like an excuse, this is sometimes the price you have to pay to live in a newer community.
Another unusual "feature" we offer is having the owner/manager on-site. Charlie is here Monday thru Friday and is often here on the weekends as well. The advantage to living in a family-owned community as opposed to living in a corporate-owned or fee-managed community is that he offers an open door policy and gladly sees residents when they have suggestions or concerns. He?s proud of his community and it shows.
I can?t even begin to tell you about our maintenance staff. They are the most oustanding group of people I have ever worked with. They WILL get to your work orders in a timely manner. But in the rare instance that they can?t complete your request, they will keep the line of communication open. As for the grounds, we have a reputation to uphold. Our property won "Best Curb Appeal" in July of last year. We won this award because of one man, Chuck, who takes absolute pride in his work.
There are many, many, many properties in the area to choose from, and you?ll find that during your search most of the apartments begin to look frustratingly the same. Therefore, Heidi, Amber and I (Karie) realize the only thing that will differentiate us from the other communities you visit is our excellent customer service.
This poor property has been beaten up badly by so many negative comments, most of which were made before a major staff change in July/August of 2003. I ask that you stop by our office and check it out for yourself. I promise, once you move in, we will not turn into evil witches as one comment that was previously posted stated! Heidi and I believe resident retention is the most important aspect of the job.
Stop on in! We can?t wait to meet you! Karie
FYI - I was not asked to write this comment. If I had been asked, I probably wouldn?t have written it at all! My comments are sincere.
