Yo!

A hidden gem

Single-building apartment complex at the bottom of a hill, very quiet area. The building is concrete so it has decent sound insulation, other than bass! It has lower-level parking garage with remote-controlled gate. One cat-crazed woman keeps feeding 2 strays in the lower garage so if u have a show car u will need to cover it. the cats are allowed at this complex but the 2 strays are filthy. I sprayed them from a water bottle persistently so at least they stopped hanging out in the garage full-time. other than a few dead lights it is an excellent parking garage. 1 garage spot per apartment and there is plenty of space on the surrounding streets. Excellent freeway access to 94. My apartment was on top floor. There is an elevator. AC is nice & strong although I did not need it much because in that particular spot the climate is always pleasant with a slight breeze. To reach the management u have to leave a message most of the time. although in general they are attentive and mellow. The only real problem I encountered is drum-n-bass goes through concrete easily so when neighbors are partying it is hard to sleep on the floor as I like. You would need a bed. The small valley around the building has dense vegetation so it helps muffle the city noise. Although there are some trashy late-night tenants in the building across the alley so u have to close the balcony door at night. As u can tell I am the type that requires silence :) The interiors are aging but functional. Faucet water is actually tolerable unlike most of San Diego. Gas stove has no exhaust so it is necessary to open the door(s) when cooking (there is a heavy metal screen door). On my days off I hung out on the balcony listening to music, sipping vodka mixers, and checking out the jets landing @ SAN - pure bliss, I miss it.
