Disappointed but managing

I've lived here for almost 5 years, and am sad to admit that I have been very disappointed with Amber Grove. Before I continue, I want to let you all know that I am a Church going, God fearing person who have never had anything to hide from anyone and that I am only giving you my honest and personal opinions since I've lived here. Judge how you need to:
1. 5 managers in the past 4 years...that should tell you something right away. However, there is a new manager who may just happen to have a backbone and won't take crap from anyone. I'm willing to give her a chance and see what happens.
2. As of July/August '08, each resident now pays for water, sewage and trash. Within the first couple of months, based on how many bedrooms you had, you pay "X" amount added to your rent. If you had a One bedroom apartment, you paid $18 dollars. NOW, residents utilities are billed through a company called ISTA North America "AND" the whole apartment complex are billed according to total average use, which means that if you were on vacation during the whole month of September, and your neighbor took long showers everyday during that same month, you would still pay for the average water consumption divided between yourself and your neighbor. This was very upsetting to me.
3. Occassional pest infestition (ants, roaches, spiders etc.), but I guess it's kinda expected when you share a wall and ceiling/floor with a new neighbor who brings them in.
4. Parking - If you own more that one vechicle, this place isn't for you. This is a one parking spot per resident area. If you do however decide to take the chance and move here, then you can expect one of your precious vehicles to get towed. There are only a few visitors spots on site which are not used by visitors. Some two car residents have used these spaces to store one of their vehicles.
Positive note: Less than a quarter mile to supermarket, fastfood and gas station.
What does make Amber Grove a "not so nice" place to live is the GHETTO aspect of the complex. It's too bad that the owners and management can't weed out prospective tenants who would be too "Ghetto" to live here.
Overall, Amber Grove isn't a bad place. Like many other places, if you do your own thing and keep your nose out of trouble and out of other people's business...then you'd have nothing to worry about.
God Bless!
