Was a terrific short term rental

Moved from out of the area, and needed a short term rental while we waited for our home to be finished. Like every other apartment, there were pros and cons to the place-- depending on how long you plan to live here will probably determine if the cons are worth worrying about.
Cons:
Parking is beyond a joke. If you have one car, great. If you have two, parking the second car will be a nightmare. If you have friends, family or anyone else who may want to actually visit you in your home, forget it.
It was difficult to get maintenance in to do their job. We had to call several times about sticky doors, lack of weather stripping on the slider (which also would not lock) and other small things-- none of which were not fixed in the five months we lived there. When we moved, they wanted to charge us for the broken closet door-- until we provided documentation that the door was broken upon move in.
Office help was spotty-- some of the people were professional, others acted like you were putting them out when you wanted them to do their job.
If you do not have a car, be forwarned that the complex is on Watt Ave-- and there are no sidewalks. Not safe. You can exit out the back of the complex, but again if you want to walk to the store there is no safe direct way to get there.
There were no locks on the gates to the pools at the time we were there. If this has not been resolved and you have small children, you may want to consider how likely it may be for your child to get out of your apt and get into the pool area.
Laundry facilities were large, but they were not close to our apartment-- not fun on cold rainy nights!
Pros-- close to a lot of shopping.
Apartments are a good size and have nice lay outs (we had a 2bed 2bath). It was kind of dark in our bottom floor apt, but during the summer months it was relatively cool.
Real fire place was very romantic!
Beautiful landscaping. Lots of fountains and we had a pretty large patio as well.
Month to month lease was terrific if you want a place to live while you find a permanent home.
So, for short term I would recommend Ardendale Apts, but I would not choose to live there long-term (if only because of the aggravation of parking alone).
