I stayed at Ardendale for a summer after looking online for a lot of Sacramento apartments. This is a well maintained, quiet, community. I was looking for a place where I wouldn't be kept up at night by partiers and this was the perfect choice. I never heard my neighboors. Management was really friendly. Just like most situations in life, if you are nice to someone, generally they respond in kind. The two ladies that worked there were easy to talk to and took care of all my issues right away (smoke detector battery, burned out light in parking lot). I would recommend this place for pretty much anyone over 25. Under 25, you would probably want to be someplace where there is more of a younger scene. Downsides: if you have more than one car, parking might be difficult. The entrance is off Watt Ave, so you can only make a right turn coming out (you can make a U-turn about 100 feet up). Otherwise my experience was really good. I never felt worried coming home late at night, and I never saw any "thugs" lingering on the property. I would stay here again if I was in the area.
