Oh, please--the only people dissatisfied with Bell Oaks are the ones trying to take advantage or break the very few, community-based rules. I've lived here for years, and the only problems I've seen were the party crowd, the whiners and the chisellers. The new management has exerted itself far beyond expectations to accommodate its tenants; they even allow pets here, unless you try to sneak them in.
The pool is now heated, kitchens are being remodeled (and they are fantastic!), the wails for a BBQ area have been heard and a spot is under construction; more trees are being planted, picnic areas and an exercise room are in the works, the hopeless gate remotes have been changed out and there was a complex-wide pool party on the 4th of July, financed by the management. This is not a faceless, merciless management company, either--it's a private family business with a heart, a personality and the willingness to meet tenants halfway or more when they encounter problems. People who would be bounced out in a heartbeat are given help and chances to improve via private discussions with management, not a nastygram on the door.
I wouldn't leave if I won the lottery--I'd rent a second apartment and expand!
