The two main reasons I got this apartment were location and price. I have now lived here 1.5 years, but I will be buying a house when this lease expires.

The apartment complex has been bought out, and hopefully things will improve. The management has been very nice and tries to be helpful, but previously, the lead was only kept on because she had worked there for years. She should have left it to someone else a decade ago. Lets see how the new manager will do.

I have had a number of problems that required having the repairmen come out to fix (had a list of 20 items when I first moved in!), but the main repair man is very nice and does what he can for you. If you treat him with common courtesy. However, I have had him out twice to repair my A/C unit as it was leaking oil into my closet, though he did come that day.

Noise hasn't been a problem for me; an occasional slammed door or someone talking on their cell phone outside my window.

But bugs have been. I have had multiple roach infestations and worse. The downstairs neighbors, while nice, didn't clean their dishes. They've been kicked out, but I still have the exterminators coming at least once a month to try to get ride of a certain bugs that they brought back from overseas.

When I moved in, the population was almost entirely contractors from offshore, and now it is slowly being taken over by college students who are much noiser and less friendly.
