I've lived here 6 months, and just signed my lease for another six. People that complain about parking are idiots. Here's a simple solution for the extravagant rates the Towers charges: DON'T pay for private parking. You can get a street permit from the city for free. Yes, it's crowded during the day, but I've never had to walk more than 5 minutes from my car to my apartment. If you can afford it, the private parking is ample, and will save you... what... 2 minutes of walking' Jeez.
Besides parking, the grounds at the Towers feels safe to walk around. I go to City College and instead of driving I walk to the train at 8th & O, right across from the front office. It's really convenient. I've had a few maintenance issues in my place, but they've always been quick to respond and very nice. The only thing is I wish the apartments where a little more insulated... I can hear my neighbor when they have people over, but it's not a big deal. Overall, I would totally recommend Capitol Towers. It's a great place, the price is ok, and you can't beat the location.

yes, people with problem are more likely to write. but people who WORK FOR CAPITAL TOWERS are more likely to write reviews calling their tenants idiots. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL! and also no tenant would have such anger against all the negative reviews. only an employee would have to write a review about parking. cause if you live there, there is no parking at night on the street. i used to have to park at governors square and walk over 2 blocks. cause that apartment complex would give one FREE under ground garage spot to each tenant. so they had plenty of street parking. notice that capital towers is the ONLY apartment complex in downtown to NOT GIVE ONE FREE SPOT!!!

Wow. You sound like a Fox tv talking head with your conspiracy theories and misinformation. Do you even live here anymore? I seriously doubt you do, since parking is fine on the street. I have never had to park more than 5 minutes away (usually closer-- just on the street outside the parking lot closest to my place). Could it be just incredible luck on my part? My boyfriend used to work nights and he seemed to have the same luck... maybe it all has to do with karma (which, incidentally, explains your experience as well...). And to address your accusation that I work for Capitol Towers-- No. I do not. And I'm willing to prove it to you-- you just have to say the word. I'm willing to meet with you, take you along the perimeter outside and count the number of parking spaces, and even invite you in for a drink if you're nice. And then you can write a response that takes back all the accusations you made about me without even KNOWING me. Deal? I stand by everything I wrote in my initial rating of Capitol Towers. Except the idiots thing. Maybe, like I mentioned before, it's all karma (no pun intended, really). But if you are thinking of moving here, or are here already, get a free sticker from the city instead of paying for the private parking they try to get you to pay here.

I dont live at capitol Towers but i was thinking about looking into it but if people are writing reviews calling people idiots when they are just trying to help the next guy then thats no place I would want to live.

I think people that have bad experiences are more likely to write here. I ask you to consider how many bad experiences have been had. I think it's beyond a coincidence and has nothing to do with karma. It almost seems as though the staff who work at Capitol Towers hate what they do, which essentially is customer service. They don't understand that they are there to serve tenants and their needs and to do it in a manner that is professional. The situations that are presented in these reviews illustrates bad business practices and it is amazing that they haven't been reprimanded. You speak of karma...I think it's coming back around on them...even if they serve a higher authoritative power. They have chosen to do the work for people who want to manipulate those giving them business. At the end of the day you should be proud of the work you do and I believe that people have been disrespected, as I have...lied to...as I have. I'm one of the most honest people I know and I wouldn't falsely speak negatively on Capitol Towers. I wanted to prove these reviews wrong, but sadly that is not the case. I'm happy that you had a great experience but most people on here have not and I think that needs to be taken into consideration beyond a claim of karma. Bad things happen to good people too.

In response to CRAPitaltowers, how much apartment searching have you done in downtown/midtown sacramento? Obviously not much, because EVERY SINGLE apartment complex I have looked at which has secured/garage/off-street parking charges at least $75 a spot or more! I would approximate the number of places I have looked at with secured/garage/off-street parking is about 20 complexes, and EVERY SINGLE one charges! I think the real issue here is that people do get a really grand picture of a place and then move to sac and get disappointed, but if you have lived in many places in downtown/midtown you would really be able to make an honest opinion. I am not saying the towers are paradise, but compared to a lot of places they are not doing as bad as everyone on here seems to think.
