This place has taken a turn for the worse

I am still living here and this place has recently changed management. It is horrible. The best thing I can say about it is that the new maintenance staff is much better than the old, they actually work when they are at work. Since the new management has entered, they drained the front pond leaving a mother duck and five ducklings without a place to live. The ducks ended up moving farther back into the complex and the ducklings were attacked by cats. Not all at once, but over the span of a week. The rent is extremely excessive for the lack of service. When I made a call to the rental office for an urgent maintenance request, the woman was very rude and actually closed the office without letting me know when I could expect maintenance to stop by. When we called her on it, her response was to inform maintenance of my call. So, basically she was going to leave for the day and not even inform maintenance of my urgent problem. They are basically slumlords only interested in collecting rent. Rent is due on the 1st and late any day after business hours on the 4th. You can bet that when I went to get the mail on the 4th at 6PM I saw that they had posted several "Notice to Pay or Quit" papers on people?s doors, threatening to evict those whose rent were late by thirty minutes!!! They had also attached the late charges!! They really want their money, and they do not do anything to deserve the money they are getting from their renters.
And lastly, my car was broken into from my parking space only 200 feet from my apartment. Two days prior I also notice a homeless man walking through the complex talking to himself and a man rummaging through the trash dumpsters for recycleables. The management?s response was to request that I give them a copy of the police report and then hang up. I had made several calls prior to that about the possibility of renting a garage along with my apartment. I never received a call back regarding that or any other request I had made to them. I have never lived in an apartment complex that has degraded so rapidly after changing management. I am not one to complain either, I have lived in apartments for the past six years and usually know what to expect. I just think that if you are going to pay this kind of money in this location, you should be treated better and the apartments should feel a little safer than these do.
