STAY AWAY!

I've never been the type to complain, especially when it comes to apartment rentals...anyone who's rented knows to be extremely wary. However, I feel I must speak out to those researching the Crossing at Riverlake, and strongly advise that you look elsewhere.
As someone else posted, if you do feel a need to move here, get EVERYTHING in writing, and do not accept ANY verbal "contracts" (I know there are no such things as verbal contracts, so shame on me for actually trusting that management was not lying to me). Be advised that the security deposit will not be refunded in full, under any circumstance. You will be charged for everything...from dirty, disgusting carpets that you inhereted on move-in (and even tried to clean) to marks on the wall that you claimed on your move-in inventory. In hindsight, I wish I would have taken a video of the deplorable condition my apartment was in prior to move-in, because claiming everything in writing simply was ignored. And I had to pay the price.
The Crossing at Riverlake corporate managment are what I would clasify as criminal. Yes, that may sound harsh...yet when they knowingly steal money from residents (from security deposits) I don't know what else to call them.
Please, if you're looking at renting from this complex, be advised that your stay will inevitably result in getting ripped off. In all of my years of apartment renting, I have never been so dissapointed (to say the least!) with my experience. So, please, STAY AWAY!!
