In moving to the apartments when I called the Gas company to come in to turn on the service they were in shock by the fact that there was FREE FLOWING GAS and told me that if i were to light a cigarette we could have been in deep trouble. Thank god for me not being a smoker! lol
I was expecting my first child and during the summer our air conditioner was broken, it took 5 weeks for them to fix it resulting in 5 weeks of my apartment being 90 degrees, my fiance and I being ill, and damp carpets (due to the air conditioning vent leaking).
In the winter it was just as bad because of the "new" furnace not working properly, we decided to use the fireplace. We made a cot in front of it and fell asleep. When we woke up THE ENTIRE house was smokey! We had to open all of the windows and door and put the fire out! We called a chimney cleaner over (because the office failed to come and fix the problem...) and they said that the chimney hadnt been cleaned in MANY years...
