Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
Where to start. I live there for a year and the place gradually got to be more ghetto. The staff cannot tell their thumb from their pinki. They will most likley listen to what you have to say but what you don't know is that it is going in one ear and out the other. When we first moved into our apartment the carpet was not steam cleaned or vaccumed. It was so warn down that we could feel the floor underneath. The edge of the carpet was coming up on the bathroom, entry way, sliding glass door and kitchen. Bascially anywhere that the carpet connected to something. There were so many stains that we could not even document them all. We did not have a cutting board. The front door leaked water and the way we found out was by the maintence guy who use to live there. He came to fix out air conditioner and he told me that the door leaked but didn't try to fix it. Later when winter came our entire entrance was under water and we had to kick our door to shut it. Then after the water came in, naturally mold started to grow. When we complained they somewhat fixed the leak but left the mold and the door slamming to us. There was a hole by the lock that looked as though someone was trying to break in. We had to slam the door on the inside and pull the door on the outside just to lock it. We complained again and they did nothing. My car was Vandalized twice inside the complex. It was keyed the first time. 4,000 dollars worth and then later someone kicked the bumper. Total 4,631 dollars to fix my car. The people at the complex break the back gate so it remains open at all hours. People drink late at night in the parking lot then holler at you when you come in. You can't park outside of the complex because once to two times a week a car is broken into. Drive by and you will see the glass on the sidewalk. The place is falling apart. The managment allows you to keep your dirty broken couch out by the dumpster because she is more concerned with the trash bag that is sitting outside you door.
Trees keep falling in the back lot. We are talking tall trees and it took them months to clean it up. They do not repair the damages from the falling trees. They don't screen people before they let them move in. What is not understood is where your money goes. They do not update the apartments. Everyting there is old and barley working. Our oven worked off and on. Out garbage disposal crapped out two weeks into living there, as said above our air conditioner did not work. Our sinks were clogged and our fridge did not keep things cold enough, but our frezzer gave our food freezer burn a week after we bought it. Out blinds looked like they had blood on them. And the best part was waking up every friday at 8:00am because the complex felt it was important to blow the leaves away from the sidewalk. onn and I don't know if this was a bad thing but out apartment was infested with Lady Bugs. maybe it was the only highlight of living there!
