NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006
I read the first review posted in 2001. The things said are STILL TRUE in June 2006. Superficial stuff, poor parking, etc. Those who posted a positive review were probably the lucky residents here. Look at all the reviews and see how many people actually recommended the place!
I'm here typing a long review because I truly want people who deserve a better place to look for somewhere else. I feel I'm obligated to let others know the truth when I see them coming in to the office for application. However, I can't do that in front of the staff because that's pretty rude. That's why I'm doing this here.
The main problem here is that it's a complex full of slackers who party so hard during weekends. I saw many super inconsiderate dumbasses here: 1) young guys playing their skateboards in the middle of the road, even at nights. 2) people talking loudly in the apartment area at 2 or 3am as if they're the only people living in the apartment complex. (Right now there's a group of 5 not far from my window. I can hear them talking LOUDLY. 3) robbery on the streets outside the apartment complex 4) liquor store RIGHT NEXT to the apt complex to serve party goers 5) people drive so fast here inside the complex and I don't understand why people here love cars and trucks with super noisy engines.
Generally, many inconsiderate dumbasses live here and really piss me off. I wanna get out as soon as possible. Well but if you're one of them who likes to disturb neighbors, this is definitely a great place for you to meet your new neighbors. Stay here so you won't go out and disturb other people in other complexes who want a quiet environment with respectful neighbors. I wish all the dumbasses are confined within this complex after I move out in 2 months. I'm even thinking of paying one month of double rent just to get out of here ASAP.
A person who left a positive review said the management could not control which type of tenants would be moving in and their behavior. Excuse me' So why would we need a management if they have no influence or impact on the residents' I believe the management can do something regarding the unresponsive behavior of residents. It's just that the management people don't care, rather than they are not able to control the situation.
The management is very UNresponsive. They call you back probably a week later. I tell you, this apartment complex is a HUGE one, with more than 500 units. But the maintenance people I saw so far were fewer than 10... so you can deduct that it's almost impossible to have immediate responses if you wanna get something fixed. My roommate's window was taken away to get fixed, and they put it back like almost TWO WEEKS later. So her room has no window for TWO WEEKS!
The people in the office can easily get offended. That's ridiculous. When I complain, they do not apologize at all but keep giving excuses. Obviously the management doesn't really know how to do business. They just DON'T CARE! Another example of the SUPER TERRIBLE management is that they didn't start to fix the swimming pool until April and May when the heat comes..... Ya, you may ask why they didn't do that in the winter so tenants can enjoy the pool in the hot summer' It's just because the management SUCKS! The answer is simple as it is.
The security here is useless. I called security everytime when I hear loud noises out there in the middle of the night. I never saw them coming from my window. They're kinda rude too. I started giving in already... hopeless except moving out.
Fairlake ALSO OVERCHARGES. IT'S ACTUALLY $940/month here! $890/month is WITHOUT water, garbage disposal and sewage, which most apartments pay for you. I mean I'm willing to pay $940/month ONLY IF the apartment is really nice. Honestly, I will not pay more than $750 for this apartment...
The mail delivery system here is also a joke. You probably won't be able to get mail in the afternoons because you're not allowed to enter the mail room during delivery.
The apartment flat itself is just okay. I think the glass windows are very thin so even I shut the windows I can still here people shouting out there in the middle of the night. There's also a truck station or something like that right next to the complex. Trucks can be really noisy in the middle of every weeknight.
If you think you deserve something more, go look for another place.
If you're one of those inconsiderate people, APPLY for Fairlake! So all the disrespectful people can be contained in one area without disturbing others. Besides, you can also get a taste of how it's like to being bothered by other people like you! That'll be a great experience!
