Fairlake is great. It has a great location, and affordable rent. But they charge extra for water/sewage/garbage bills.
It has a 24-hour gym, 3 pools, and tennis courts. Its really nice to unwind at, and you can walk to nearby parks, and bike to CSUS/Mall/Cal Expo.
It is definitely a college atmosphere with 18-30 co-eds dominating the demographic. Its nice to live at while going to college, its quiet (if you live upstairs) so you can study, but its wild enough that there's a party most weekends.
There's so much parking, but they are unassigned, so first come first serve. The office is kinda sketchy though, it seems like porn star women handle everything to deflect the occassional ghettoness of the place (kids, and people that dont live there walking around). But all in all, the residents are all cool... the stray people that free load in the gym and facilities are what makes it whacked. Oh and the security needs to be increased... so they can kick out non-residents.
