This place looks good on paper. It has adequate parking, a gym, several pools, is gated and has night time security guards. That's all great stuff right' Well yeah, if it worked. I have been living here since September and have found the facility disappointing. The pools often have leafs and clumps of hair, makes one think twice before jumping in there. The gym is kinda gross, and the max weight on many of the machines allow all but the weakest dude to feel anything. The gates are a great thing if they actually worked. I'm near the rear of the complex, which I thought was going to be great because there is a gate just behing my apartment that would allow quick and easy access to Howe Ave. going either way. Unfourtunatly, after moving in that gate has been functional all of one week of the 5 months I have been here. the front gates are seldom working correctly either. Now we get to parking. So when a person first drives in, there seems to be plenty of parking all over. Pulling into a parking space near my apartment was easy, before everyone came home from work. After 6:00, it's a race, and if you don't get back till 12:00, then your screwed and have to walk quite a distance to get to your apartment...in the dark since they neglect their lighting, It isn't that the infrastructure isn't there, it's that they don't turn them on. I have complained about this but to no avail. Now the kicker. When I moved into this place I was given a parking permit sticker. I asked, "Do I have to stick this on my car or can I leave it on the dash'" reply "No, you can leave it on your dash, or anywhere visible." So after parking here for 5 months...every night, I wake up to find that my car is no longer here. I call the police who inform me that my car has been towed. After many calls and stress, it turned out that my sticker was supposed to be stuck in the bottom right hand corner of my windshield. WTF! I asked specifically but now I'm stuck paying 400 dollars for some tow truck guy in SOUTH SAC of all places because they didn't tell me the right thing. This place stinks, and can't get their story straight.

Take them to small claims court. Talk to an attorney first but you may be able to withhold the $400 from your rent. But talk to an attorney first!
Many give free legal consultation so shop around.
