Some people don't understand.

So I thought i'd look at reviews online for these apartments. Now, we've only been here a few weeks, but really.. Let's be honest. Sacramento's a big city now. I came from New Orleans. You don't know what fear and terror is until you've tried living uptown in New Orleans, where Gunshots don't even make you flinch, they happen so often.
I have no knowledge of the "prior" management, and so I can only make my opinions on the current state of the place. Elizabeth is a wonderful person. She was understanding and compassionate, and she helped us, literally, when it seemed nobody else would. We got moved in quick, and we've been keeping largely to ourselves until we get acclimated to the new area, but overall, all the neighbors we've met have been nice and friendly, and short of "one" incident of someone yelling (ooh. yelling.) I've not slept this good in months. The bedroom's nice and dark... quiet... no noise after 8 or 9 pm really... We sit out on the balcony, and just sort of "enjoy" the night. The apartment's clean, and fresh, which was amazing, because it had this horrible stench of curry powder before we moved in, when we were shown the place, but they got it amazingly clean. I didn't think that Curry stench was gonna go away. The walls are freshly painted, everything's in good repair, and what wasn't, was already being fixed before we moved in. (namely, a few drawers in the kitchen, that needed new rails or something.) ... The gate always seems shut, and the walk in gates have been securely closed and locked everytime i've gone through them with my key... and really, given the general state of the Area, this is like a little slice of Heaven in a barren desolate wasteland. The fact that it's only a five minute walk to either the 80/22 bus and the light rail is a HUGE bonus, as you can take either of them to pretty much anywhere in the city. There's multiple fast food choices around, as well as a small grocery store around the corner run by some very nice folks if you need some quick stuff (but I wouldn't do my grocery shopping there. It's a nice corner store though.) ... and Raley's is just up the road. There's also delivery service (Cash/Credit Only.) from Safeway to here, and cabs too as well. Yeah, maybe this place wasn't so great before. But in comparison to some of the places i've lived, I can't see people making any negative comments about here at all.

I am glad you have had a positive experience so far - I am a former renter and I will tell you that Elizabeth, Claudina & Carlos do seem great at first. AT FIRST - then you get to know them. They stand around gossiping about other tenants and will share with you everyones personal business. My old next door neighbor used to get "cornered" all the time when she went into the office and they were always gossiping about the other tenant's personal business. Going so far as to get into the details of the resident managers divorce problems. Sorry lady I hate to tell you this but Elizabeth is one of the worst. She seems nice now but I would recommend not holding your breath.
