Well.... Where do I Start. 1st off my apartments are not as bad as people say they are. I will admit that in July 2006 this place was totally off the hook. The Owner hired Security and myself. When I took on this job I took a large burden on my shoulders , in many many ways. All I could do is hope I was able to prove my self to the owner and turn the Apartments around. When trying to change bad things in to good it is a lot of work and you need the assistance of everyone involved i.e residents, owners, supervisors etc. I would say by December 2006 Garfield Village was pretty different than in July of 2006 We did not have the bad guys running up in to the complex causing a ruckus, The calls to security got lesser and lesser The number of pages of the report got lesser and lesser. I was comfortable to go out side at night and smoke a cigarette and so was many other residents. We were able to walk to the dumpster late at night and not be bortherd by anyone. It got so peacful and quiet in the complex it was amazing. But then again trust me we had our small problems of husband and wife and or boyfriend and girlfriend fights. But that has all gone away and the complex is very peaceful at night and during the day. As far as the raids go.. Like I tell every one if you have the "BIG P" or "LITTLE p" or "warrents" you are a sitting ducks for the police and their raids. Raids are a good thing not a bad thing.And as for the bad comments. Come on guys lets work together. This is a good place and can be better, Present or former resident just remember theft and break in's happen in the BEST of places. Just because someone choses to hit a certian complex or home does not mead it is a bad place. We as a Community need to look out for each other. Like a neighbor watch. none of us are perfect but I am a good manager. God Bless you all
