Comfortable for now...doomed in long run...

Even though nice to have a new, clean, functional apartment, this complex is doomed to problems. The management pushes sales, but does not listen or seem to care about the tenants once they have signed the lease. There is one 5 person hot-tub which is suppose to support nearly 400 units when complete' As a couple wanting a quite evening at the spa, we have been down to find a tenant with their dog in the spa, then followed by kids eating hamburgers (Carl's Junior's style with ketchup dripping in the spa). Complaint to management did nothing. There is also only one smallish pool that is already overloaded in Spring, with less that half the units occupied. I hate to think what it will be like next summer when all the units are filled.

Maintenance is not reliable. Paint touch-ups from two months ago have not been dealt with thought we have called several times.

Stairwells are uncovered, making stairs wet and dangerous when it rains.

The gym is nice, but again, not large enough once units fill.

On the positive side, the units are new and well designed. If you decide to live here, make sure you get a unit with a pantry. Also advise a top level unit, as friends of ours complained of noise when in a second level unit. Also, the balcony cannot be accessed on the top unit, so your bike/skis/whatever will be safe on the balcony as opposed to a bottom unit. (Security is an issue as many cars have been broken into in the two months we have been here.)

We would recommend this apartment for a temporary place to live because the apartments are new and not all units are filled. However, once all the units fill, the ammenities will not be suffient to cater to the large numbers, and Granite Point would be a very poor choice indeed.
