This apartment property has an impressive curb appeal and most renters will like the updated look of this property, both inside and out. However, potential renters please be warned: do not be fooled by how things look and just keep on driving.
The new updated look to this apartment property, which includes mocha interior walls and white crown molding, is not worth the price nor the disappointment realized once a resident. Moreover, things are not as great as they are marketed at this apartment property. First, you get a choice between a carport or a garage. Depending on the training level of the leasing consultant who helps you, if you visit this property, you might be told that all apartments will receive a carport and have the option to rent a garage (like I did). However, when you come to sign your lease you might find out that you can only have one or the other. If you rent a garage, you forfeit the carport. The rent on the garage is $70. And, as with most apartment properties, parking is extremely limited and so guests will most likely be forced to park across the street by the pond enclosed by weeds. Second, work orders take a great deal of time to be completed even though it is a "construction" property. For example, when I moved it, there were no cupboard doors under my kitchen sink. I was told not to worry about the missing cupboard doors because this is a construction property and there were abundant resources around to fix the problem right away. It took Fairfield Property management 3 weeks to provide me with cupboard doors in my kitchen and they were hung crooked! Third, although I see maintenance staff walking around with a trash can to pick up trash in the breezeways each morning, there is still trash that gets left in the breezeway and common areas.
Example #1: there was an empty TV box in the middle of my breezeway for 1 week before it was taken to the trash.
Example #2: About two weeks agao, I noticed a grocery cart in front of the apartment property, near the corner of Truxel, which was moved a few days ago into one of the trash bin areas.
Forth, there is no enforcement of what can be put on the patio and several patios look cluttered and/or have indoor furniture outside, which is ugly to look at.
Having lived at other properties managed by Fairfield Properties, I expected a lot better than what is given at Granite Pointe. This property has a long ways to go before it can creditably carry the title of "luxurious apartment homes" and is rather just an over-priced apartment property. And, as other reviews stated, Granite Pointe is not yet filled to capacity and there are already issues with getting time in the business center (which has only 2 computers and no safeguards against pop-up porn ads), having ample parking, and not being able to enjoy the pool and gym because it's too small--soon to be utilized by over 300 apartment homes. Lastly, from an issue of safety, it will be interesting to see how the property will safeguard residents from potential car vandals when the side of the property that is adjacent to the wash is completed.
Again, Granite Pointe Apartments are very nice to look at, but prospective renters would be better off to just keep on looking. If you are in the market to rent a luxurious apartment, may I suggest "The Homecoming" apartments managed by Lewis Homes as a possible alternative to Granite Pointe. I sure wish I was living there instead of here; I think you will too.

I don't believe him. I live there and that is just not the reality. No doubt, there is some bit of fact to each statement, but get over it. The construct is long over and I am please with the response for maintenance and staff issues. I drive a F250 crew cab pick up and have no problem parking in my carport.
