Used to be nice, but now it sucks

The decline in this community is really unfortunate. I was the first person to live in my apartment when I moved here a couple of years ago, and at that time the staff was super-helpful and attentive. While even back then there were jerks who left garbage outside their doors in public areas, allowed their dogs to s--t on the walkways, etc., the staff dealt with these problems and generally kept things under control.
Now, though, the inmates run the prison here at Granite Point. In their desire to avoid conflict (I suppose), the staff doesn't address any of the gross, inconsiderate, uncivilized and rude behavior by a large proportion of the residents. For example, in my building two of the tenants like to leave rotting garbage outside their doors, because they don't like the smell of it inside their apartments and are too lazy to walk the 15 yards to the trash bin. They often leave it for two or three days or more. When asked by neighbors to please stop, they threw rage fits and began leaving more trash out for longer. Apt management does NOTHING, and now that this has gone on for over six months, we have mice all over the building. Stupid and unnecessary.
Same for noise. Right now I'm scarcely able to write this message because my neighbor downstairs has music blasting so loud it's shaking the building. I've called the office about this on four separate occasions, and they do nothing, probably because they're afraid of the guy, who is also given to late night drunken raging, banging down the door, screaming at his crying girlfriend, etc. This neighbor routinely plays music so loud, it can be heard at the management office (a good 100 yards away!), and yet they still do nothing about it.
Then there's the guy who lets his dog relieve itself right on the shared walkway -- completely unashamed even when other tenants are there.
About the only good thing I can say about this complex is that I am lucky enough to have a garage, which is a big convenience. But with the mice, the noise, and the general feeling that you're living with a bunch of inconsiderate animals, I'll be gone at the end of my lease. NOT recommended.
