Great Location, Great Amenities, Some Negatives

I just moved in to Granite Point and signed my lease sight unseen. I was a little disappointed when the moving truck pulled up because, although the community looks good from a distance, up close it's very disheveled. There is trash EVERYWHERE! The gardeners came this morning and even though they mowed the lawns and trimmed everything, the left all the cigarette butts, of which there are thousands. No one cleans anything beyond the community garbage cans.
Despite the trash everywhere, when I actually opened the door to my apartment I was happily surprised. It's a very nice, clean, simple place and has good feng shui (if that matters to you). I enjoy my apartment and it has a really comfortable vibe. I just wish the apartment grounds matched the apartments themselves. Oh, and the construction is VERY cheap, but adequate. I've never seen 'plastic' bathroom sinks before!
The other tenants that I have met have all been very nice. I've not had any problems with noise (except once when a couple was screaming at each other louder than I've ever heard anyone scream).
The office staff was/is great. They're very helpful and cheerful.
