Me and my husband have lived in granite point for 4 years now and unfortunately due to our credit not being the best we are unable to purchase a home right away with the market being a buyers market-but we were thinking about renewing our lease but to our surprise management was no longer offering a month free like they did before for renewing another lease this time around they were only offering a free carpet clean and an accent wall.I could not believe they changed it to this because I thought they should clean the carpets as a courtesy after so many years as a standard procedure. So we decided to move to a new complex down the street that had a better special and better amenities. We needed alot more space but did not want to pay to much more than what we paid at granite point which was first $1,050 then soon went up to $1,055 for our one bedroom one bath wow thats alot to pay for 4 years of renting. The only complaint we had is noise levels seems like in our particular building it was the domestic violence side every couple argued and you could hear knocking and things being throwed against the wall. Also tenants upstairs walking hard and slamming doors all times of the night we dealt with it because we knew this is what is expected living in an apartment. Also we got lots of house centerpedes huge bugs with legs all around them they are brown in color I looked it up on line to see what they were never heard of them until we moved here. We would kill 3 on average every day never had a problem with ants or spiders since they eat these bugs but pretty scary when you see them they are fast you have to run to catch them and shake your clothes and shoes so you wont get bitten by them.Last complaint dirty hallways and not enough parking for your guests, to many units so you cannot control the parking spaces. Never had a problem with the front office or staff since we paid rent on time-would I reccomend this apartment complex yes because of the floor plans huge bathrooms the best I have ever had in a unit thats just about it!

Seems like overall a lot of your complaints are pretty standard of apartment living in general. A month free with a renewal is unheard of!! I have lived in many apartment communities over the last 12 years and have never gotten more than $100 off or a capret clean...so I guess feel fortunate you got that special to begin with. As far as the bugs go they do have pest control service and as a matter of fact I have used them twice and both times they eliminated the issue(my issue was ants). The staff is always polite and parking seems to be tough when the place is full and so late at night guest parking is harder to find. But again I have NEVER lived anywhere that had a GREAT parking situation. Apartment communities never build in enough parking...period! The location is great the floor plans are spacious and yes if you move somewhere new you will get a great special initially but I would be willing to bet money when it comes time for you lease renewal you won't get a MONTH free and there is no guaranty that your rent will stay the same especially with the way the market is...you would be crazy to think that. I love it here and would recommend all to ask questions if there are true concerns about anything. 9 times out of ten on this website on ANY apartments community you read there are unhappy reviews because those are the people that seem to make time for this type of silly complaining.

I will not disclose what building number I lived in that is no ones business and it is not silly complaining I was expressing how I felt after 4 years of living in this particular community which I enjoyed I Wish we could have been able to renew but after living in the same unit for so long paying that much for a one bedroom you should be appreciated a little bit more than that -thats a long time to be in the same place-we respected our neighbors by being quiet after 10 p.m. and as far as the parking goes we only had occasional guests but they had to park and walk from the street because all the parking spaces were gone which can be frustrating for them-we were here when these were brand spanking new our unit was brand new before they just recently put gates around the apartments which were needed due to concerts and games people braking into cars and robbing tenants lets not forget about that -last but not least I never said or thought my new apartment complex would continue their special after my lease is up or said they could not go up on the price because that can happen just like it did at granite point as far as pest control thats a joke we still got centerpedes and big reddish brown spiders coming in real bad one particular time a centerpede crawled out of the sink that was real scary -the best hing going here is the maintenance and the floor plans as far as the office staff goes no comment LOL

Sorry you took my question about the building number the wrong way. I was asking because since it is an apt building with shared walls, plumbing, air ducts, etc., the pest problem of one apt. is the same pest problem of the whole building. I am looking for an apt in the area and I want to make sure I avoid something like centipedes, they scare me!!! Can you tell me what side of the complex was your building at? I mean, if you want your review to be helpful to others. I'm sure some buildings would be ok. I wouldn't mind ants.
