Ants everywhere, mosquitos everywhere (because the "lake" is disgusting stagnant water) and the carpet is NOT attached to the floor. Careful walking outside, there are spiders the size of my hand in EVERY giant, overgrown bush. Further, the management is ridiculous. They fail to communicate with each other. If you want something done, make sure you go in and tell EACH AND EVERY SINGLE ONE of them what your request is, otherwise it just might not get done. They tow cars without warning. For example, there is an uncovered spot that looks like a parking spot. There is NO SIGN stating you can't park there. $450 later and a drive to Rancho Cordova, management says, "Well you should have just known not to park there, Sweetie." Also, don't be drawn in on the W/D in unit; they can hold about 2-3 towels at a time.

We wish this problem would have been brought to the management's attention. If we would have known that you are unhappy residing here as a resident, we would have tried everything in our power to accommodate your needs. As for the mosquitos, ants, and spiders, all you had to do was come down to the office and put in a request for pest control, for we provide services EVERY Tuesday. You were well aware of the pest control services that we provide for the residents, for you did sign a addemum which provided the company's name, company's address, and company's telephone number. Please check your lease. In addition to the parking, it was your own choice in making by parking in an undesignated parking spot. We do apoligize for you car being towed, but we had to do our job. Furthermore, we have a company that comes out three times a week to up keep on our lake, or to take care of any problems concerning the lake. We sincerely do apoligize for the unhappiness that you may be experiencing, but these issues could have been taken care of immediatley if you would have addressed us. And yes, all of the staff DO communicate with one another. We work as a team and not as an individual. Management is requesting that you contact us as soon as you can, so we can discuss this situation.

I have lived at Harbor Oaks for over two years, and I have yet to have a problem that wasn't solved quickly, professionally, and courteously. I love where I live. I love the design of the apt itself, I love the mature trees and bushes (and yes, there will be bugs in mature trees and bushes) and I love the lake. I bring my granddaughter there to feed the ducks, and it's always fun. Regarding parking, many people seem to feel they can park on the 'sidelines' and not in spaces, and that just makes it more difficult for residents to manuever around when the roads are blocked by people parking in undesignated areas. Regarding the washer and dryer, I don't know if there are different size ones in different units, but I put a full load in mine all the time, and never have a problem. I had a plumbing problem the other night and two very nice young men came to fix it. It couldn't be fixed that night and they couldn't have been nicer, providing me with a key to the model to use if I needed to. The very next day a plumber was sent out to fix the problem. I don't usually write on these types of pages, but I wanted to respond to this as I don't think it was a very fair appraisal of the complex. IMHO the place is wonderful. Happy Holidays to all!
