Pretty good

I would have to say that the best part of living here is that you "rent with equity". For every rent payment you make a significant portion of it can be redeemed if you buy a Kaufman and Broad home. So at least all your money isn't just being thrown out the window at the rent monster.
The employees here are friendly, and prompt with helping you with any issues that arise. The grounds are well-maintained. The apartment we are in (I haven't been in any others) is above average, and better than expected for the age of the apt. They put in new linoleum, new carpet, and a fresh coat of paint before we moved in.
The area is fairly quiet, but really nothing compared to the peace of living out in the country... but here I am comparing apples to oranges...this is the city, albeit a residential neighborhood.
The problems I have found here really are overshadowed by all the good aspects. However, sometimes the office is hard to get a hold of over the phone. A few phone calls have not been returned.
There aren't enough parking spaces, especially Friday through Sunday.
The gates don't seem to function well. I have never been able to successfully let a guest in through the front gate with the phone.
I have to bring up the noise issue again. I haven't heard a peep through the walls of our neighbors in the surrounding apts. Plus, my husband often plays his computer games louder than I'd like to hear them, and no one has ever complained--I don't think they can hear it. We can certainly here people that are outside though. Especially the cars! They drive TOO fast! They drive with their volume blaring and their subwoofer turned to the max often times on weeknights when people are trying to sleep.
Anyway, I am thinking of renewing my lease here, I've been pretty happy.
