First I have to say rent here is pretty expensive, but then so is everywhere in Sacramento. And right now it is much cheaper to rent than to buy in Sacramento. However it doesn't feel so great when you spend your hard-earned money to live somewhere nice and find out a lot of your neighbors live there for next to nothing because of various types of low-income-housing programs.

We really loved our large townhome, we were lucky enough to be able to pick a unit in a part of the complex that was very open and quiet. Never had any problems with noise from the neighbors other than you could hear when they walked up or down their stairs which was on the other side of our living room wall, no biggie.

It was brand new so you have to expect some construction and pest problems; they will happen, the important part is how the managment deals with them. In general I think maintenance was fairly good, I had some problems with a leaking front door that they fixed quickly. The diswasher was however not working correctly; a brand new dishwasher shouldn't leave your dishes that dirty. That was never remedied though they "looked at it" several times. Never had any mice while we were there, though we did have quite a few wolf spiders getting into the garage. Fly paper placed on the sides of the garage door helped a lot with that.

The manager(s) were less than polite/helpful/kind but the rest of the staff was pretty awesome. Very helpful and always remembered our names etc. Had to move away because of work and while it was very expensive, we really miss our townhome at homecoming. P0MtU6TIdDkM23RTonAS

wow, you listed quite a bit - and you actually liked it. Imagine how much worse it is/was for those of us who are being honest about all the problems. You heard your neighbors walking up/down stairs... imagine those same neighbors having parties w/ loud music thumping through the walls and many people running up/down the stairs, banging against the wall.... and management who would nothing about it....welcome to my HC experience!
