We moved in Sept. 05 and since then: there has been reports of a peeping tom, one of our neighbors has had their apartment broken into, our truck has been stolen from the area they tell you to park in because they do not provide enough parking, and we have seen numerous cars with broken windows from being broken into. The gates are only at the entrances or lining the back of the complex (where the truck was stolen). In less than 9 months, there has been a drastic turn around in the complex. We always see new people walking around in the complex (hence no real gate). We were extremely happy when we moved in, but now we are counting the days. When cars were being broken into and an apartment was broken into, we never even received a flyer or notice! Parking is a nightmare here! You get one assigned spot, and thats it. Dont count on finding an open spot for an extra vehicle any time after 2pm on a weekday. So called "Luxury" apartments.

we are due to move in to this complex in a few weeks, but if it is this bad, we are willing to lose the deposit. We would be moving into a downstairs 2-bedroom apartment. Any thoughts? Does this make a difference?

There are more open parking spots and there is usually always parking available on the left side (enter the left gate). If your 2 bed is on that side then you should be fine. It's the side were all the 1 bedrooms are that seem to be having problems. Overall it is a decent place. We are going to miss walking across the street to bel air. The hoodrats are usually from Atrium across the street.

Like justmoved said...for parking it depends on what side your apartment is on. There is quite a few spots on the end of the complex..but even those fill up quick a lot of the time. This complex was very nice when we moved in, we were extremely happy, but in the last few months it is going downhill. We are still counting our days until we can get out...It is extremely nice having Bel Air across the street, but convenience isnt worth it. I wouldnt want to live downstairs in these apartments. The walls are pretty thin. We live upstairs and can hear our downstairs neighbors music, doors closing, etc. So just a warning.
