My experience while living here was terrible! I had lived here 15 months and was ready to move out by the third month! My first week living here my car was stolen. When I had told the office they acted like they could care less and I was surprised by their complete lack of concern.
The parking is terrible! Supposedly, there is parking at the other end of the complex, but when I would get off work at 10:00 pm there was a lot of times where I couldn't find a single parking spot in the entire complex and was forced to park on the residential street behind the complex. I wouldn't have mind having to park there if it wasn't for the fact that my car was egged on multiple occasions and my neighbors car had been broken into.
The worst experience was when my neighbor observed a man trying to break into someones apartment through the window and ended up chasing him down the street while I called the night "security" and told them of the situation. I waited for the security officer for over an hour before my roommate arrived home and notified me that she had seen the security officer writing a parking ticket on someones car instead of responding to the phone call I had made! What makes the situation even better is that when I talked to management they did nothing! They didn't even send out flyers or anything to notify residents to keep their windows locked because of an attempted burglary that had taken place. It was like they just wanted to keep it on the hush hush!
Noise was also ridicules! I had two brothers that lived above me who would get drunk and fight all night long. When I would call the office to complain DeeDee would basically tell me that the one brother has lived on the complex for over two years and they had never had any problems with him... So, I'm guessing that means that there is some sort of seniority ranking' You can't have a complaint about someone who has been there long than you' Hmm...
Also, when we moved in our apartment wasn't even ready for us! The previous renters had caused a kitchen fire which had melted the counter top and cabinets. So, once were moved in maintenance had to come to different days for about three hours each day to fix it. Their first repair visit there had been no phone call. They had just showed up at a time that was good for them, which was bad for us because my roomate works night shifts and was unable to get a decent sleep.
So, I called the office and asked if they could please arrange a time with us for the next day they would have ti finish their repairs because of mine and my roomates schedules. They called us five minutes before they showed up for the second noisy repair and even though I told them it wasn't a good time they notified me that this was the only time they could do it... Real considerate... I think they may have given us like a week of our rent for the hassle, but it still should have all been taken care of before we moved in!
