i do live here, and although i can admit that somewhere along the lines of signing my lease i was misled about some things, overall i do enjoy living here. the grounds are pretty well maintained, aside from the fact that some of the residents are pigs and throw any kind of trash any and everywhere they can. so this means that the maintenance staff have been trying their best during the day to keep the grounds clean, but the dirty ones keep messing it up at night. i also admit that the security is harsh on people, especially guests, but it makes me feel safer knowing that people unassociated with the complex arent being freely allowed to roam. i do recognize that some of the complex isnt gated, but you cant blame the patrol for those people who come in. that was something i was also misled about, but i have watched residents make the most trouble here. most of the vandalism and such are caused by rowdy residents who believe that they should run everything. i have personally witnessed no less than 5 acts of vandalism to other residents property by other residents. what the hell happened to being neighborly' i dont blame the security for acting the way they do sometimes. but i mostly blame the residents for all of the trouble thats caused. i do know who has made some of the negative comments on this web site, and they only say bad things because they are self-righteous and spoiled. they treat the office staff and security like second class citizens and bring the fury when they come into the office. if they acted like civilized people, maybe the staff would be more motivated to help them. i personally know that the staff do their best to help all that come in, but just as you, they are humans. if you wouldnt want people screaming in your face, why would you do that to someone else' i also personally know that the maintenence staff has been short staffed for the past couple of months and have been working (without a day of rest since christmas) to get things fixed for people. now this also shows that there are many problems happening in the apartments, and i cant deny that. but this is a new property, and like anything else, it takes a little time to get things in proper working order.
as for the amenities, there is no better place for a college student who is tired of dorm life. you have free cable in every bedroom as well as living room and free broadband internet in every room. at any other apartment you have to pay top dollar for some below par service. i also love the atmosphere of the place. they are nice looking apartments, just most people are spoiled and dont take care of their apartments. i am sure that even the most careful arent going to get their full deposit back, but have you ever heard of a business who willingly gives up money without a fight' overall, this is the best place for a college student.
