Not Good for Serious Students or Slackers

Okay, well everyone else has pretty much said it but here is my point of view:

1. It is ridiculously expensive to live here. I pay almost $400 a month to share a room and bathroom with another girl.

2. The apartments are horrendously constructed. There is paint and mold everywhere. I have developed allergies from living in this crappy place. When the mold was so bad that we called maintenance they discoverd that *oops!* they never put in our air filters. The filters helped but it is still very moldy. The weather stripping on the door fell off, was replaced, and fell off again in less than a week. You can stand right in front of the door with it shut on a windy day and feel the wind coming in around the door. The walls and floors are so thin you can hear every single sneeze, burp, and moan from your neighbors. This is not good when you actually try to study and you live above Shablaqua who, judging by the volume of her music, is suffering major hearing loss.

3. The other residents are mainly sophomores who have "fresh off the leash" syndrome BAD. There are routinely smashed booze bottles on the sidewalks, beer bottles left in the stairwells and on my porch (none of my roommates or I drink) and girls literally crawling down the sidewalk puking in the gutter. The maintenance crew is a joke. Someone threw a pumpkin from the third story onto the lawn in November and it was still there in March.

4. Security. As noted before, they only harass and tow the cars of residents. I, like everyone else, was told that uncovered parking would be guest and resident, but my friend's car was towed ind it cost about $350 to get out of impound. Security went out of their way to get my sober friends and I out of the hot tub on the dot of midnight when all around us there was underage drinking going on and people throwing glass bottles from the third story. Give me a break!

5. The internet is spotty, not to mention over networked so anyone can get in your computer and poke around in your files. Cable freezes often. MTV was frozen for an entire week once. The gym is very small for the number of residents. Good luck getting a machine at 9 PM on a weekday.

In short, if you value your sanity and happiness, don't live in this hellhole.
