this is by far the absolut WORST place to live....my first apartment was section 8 housing and was 100 times better!! the office staff is rude and uncaring, the maitenence cant fix anything, the apartments outdoor lighting system has been down for over two months now and they STILL cant manage to get it fixed....my bathroom just got doors installed two weeks ago and i have been living in the apartment for 6 months already.....if you dont wear clothing than Shadowood will be great for you because for those of us who like to were clothing, there is no washer and dryer in the apartments and your clothing will get stolen from the onsite laundry facilities...PLUS there are NO CAMARAS on the grounds...good luck if anything gets stolen or broken into....its so bad here that I even spoke to members of their corporate office and even they dont follow through......take my advice and everyone elses on here and STAY AWAY FROM SHADOWOOD!!

Let's look at what you have said, first if you are that unhappy you should move out. Second, if your clothes have been stolen you probably should have kept an eye on them. Third, what was the corp office to do? Buy you new clothes? If you think that you should grow up or move back in with mommy and daddy.

Well, let's see, is this person the manager or only a friend of the manager? Anyone who has had their clothes stolen from the laundry room, knows that the theives take them right out of the dryer, they don't wait until the dryer stops. Maybe you have plenty of time to burn to stand around the laundry room in the dark (since the light cycles off and there are no chairs) but most of us work, we expect to put the laundry in and return to get it on time. The recent increase in theivery began when the good tenants who used to live here moved out. Now we have partying in the parking lots at night, boom boxes at full volume, people standing outside the door talking and laughing at midnight on work nights and thefts.
If the tenant who complained had the money (about $1500 for new deposits for smud, PG&E or whoever, new phone numbers and movers) to move, I'm sure they would be gone, as would most of the rest of us if we could, what a silly response.
Third, if the current management would screen the new tenants moving in, we wouldn't have stuff disappearing off our patios and from the laundry room, not to the mention thefts from the apartments. So far that means outside lighting out, no notice of changes in hours, reduced office hours not convenient to tenants, broken front gates and no amenities (no swiming, no fitness room, both out of commission since January of 2007.) If you are content to live in squalor, help yourself, but this website is an opportunity to list the positive and minus points of a complex and that's what the writers have done. If you like living like this help yourself, but don't criticize others for complaining that its not what we signed up for.
The quality of tenants moving in has gone from acceptable to poor. Are you one of these?

The first person who commented was someone from management....without a Shadow of a doubt. Anyone who would defend shadowood has to be an employee.... and not many of them would do that either! I totally understand how you feel because we're all going through it....and we all have our own story! Bottom line none of us pay a thousand dollars a month for rent to live in a hell whole with idiots for management!
