Beautiful but Beware!

First, I will let you know this place is very fair when it comes to 2nd chances. I had a fresh foreclosure on my credit and they still allowed me to stay here. Most places see foreclosres as bad history and won't let you step foot on the property. I thank them for that. Now down to the staff, they were more into showing apartments then actually taking care of the tenants. The property is very beautiful and I specifically chose the lakeside view. I thought this place was amazing when I first moved in. Well within a month that all changed. Since there is so many trees on this property it seem birds from the whole City of Sacramento live here. The birds build thier nest on your deck throwing mud and dirt everywhere. Almost every week I had to take down a new nest and clean bird feathers and poop off my patio. The nieghbors were absolutely horrible and the pipes made loud screaming noises when people used them. The tenants complained about everything. They complained about my television so much that I finally had to sleep in my living room to watch my T.V. at a very low volume. One time I got a complaint about music being loud in my home and I was out of town. They complained about my alarm clock going off in the morning which I don't understand who can live without one. I never could enjoy listening to my music because they complained it was too loud even though I never played my music at night and kept it as low as I could. The complaints from the tenants were so out of control I had to put a note on my door with my phone number to let them know it will be more polite to call me or knock on my door if I am a bother. The letter actually worked and I believed the tenants were so embarresed they quit the complaints, figures. I left a message on the voicemail to the manager letting them know I was stressed and what did they do....nothing. That let me know that they believed the complaints and lies more then my truthful words. The ceiling in my bathroom started to have mildew stains. When I reported the mildew issue, the maintenance staff came and cut a big hole in the ceiling of my bathroom. Thinking they were going to fix everything within a week, that was a joke. They didn't finish until 2 months later and that was due to me calling the office and letting them know I was tired of looking at a big hole above my shower. The excuse was the workers must have forgot. Well, thanks for making me feel so special. Oh the bonus! For my inconvience, yes you guessed it they did nothing to compensate thier delay. The funny thing was when they sealed the hole up, within 2 wks the mildew came back and now the tub above leaked water into my shower which caused the ceiling to swell and almost fall through. By this time I hated my nieghbors, the bird poop, feathers all over my patio and the sinking roof so I did not renew my lease. The lakeview was $1000.00 a month which isn't that bad to sit on the lake but for what I went through it was way too much. Now here's the plus side, you have free access to paddle boats to swim on the 46 acre lake. Everyhome has a waterway and gas grills are all over the property with fishing docks. If you would live here get the town home, you get the best for your buck. It's more than 1200 sq ft. If I was to choose a floor plan the townhome is the best choice. The townhomes have no upstairs noise and very large duel masters with full baths including a 1/2 bath downstairs for guest with a kitchen window which is rare in apts. These are all truthful facts, I have no reason to waste time to put so many words together. I hope you take your time on the home you choose. I wouldn't recommend this home to anyone unless you're looking for a townhome and can handle all of the above headaches I mentioned in this message. God Bless you all for reading my words.
