My form CA 01/03 (thirty day notice of intent to vacate) was almost ignored by management. I requested a final walkthrough and requested to be present during the walkthrough but I was never contacted. I was never properly contacted for anything. Three days after vacating the unit, I was called and told that I would be billed for some extra days because the manager thought I still lived in the unit and did not know I had vacated, even though I physically handed managemnt an explanitory document 30 days prior. An extra month of rent was taken out of my deposit and one phone call did not solve it. Managemnent showed no intentions of helping the situation go smoothly. The manager was unorganized, very insolent over the phone, and blamed the problem on the corporate office and hung up on me.

In summary, both the CA state prsion and the Vacavilla prison occupy what is probably the best land in Vacaville, and both locations are equally unhappy places to live. The state prison is safer and more sanitary. I kept my paperwork organized, made many trips to the managers office to try to prevent problems, paid all ballances to be current, and still there were problems that cost me a lot of time and headaches. Renting from, and cooperating with, LeFeever Mattson was a mistake.

What I have written is not defimation, it is honesty. In my situation, honesty did not seem to be validated by, nor to be important to, this firm.

I'm currently in a similar dispute with Lefever Mattson in Napa. It looks like I will have to take them to court to recoup some of the money they ILLEGALLY withheld from my deposit. They broke the law and are unwilling to settle with me. I had hoped to keep it out of court, but that doesn't appear to be possible. I agree, renting from and cooperating with Lefever Mattson is a mistake.
