I agree with the other reviewer about the new manager. In less than a month, the new manager has, in my opinion, ruined the complex. Maintenance requests go unanswered for the most part unless it's an emergency. If a maintenance request is answered, then the new manager looks for a way to make it the tenant's fault, even when that is clearly not the case. I feel that the new manager speaks down to people in a sarcastic manner, addressing them with demeaning terms instead of their names. Other tenants are afraid to complain to her supervisor because they don't want to be evicted.

The rent is expensive compared to other complexes in the area and considering that the pool (the only real attraction) is closed nine months of the year. The new owner is investing $$ in painting and remodeling, but the people actually doing the work are day laborers, not licensed, qualified workmen. For example, the day labor painted the front doors, but the paint is already starting to peel because they didn't paint correctly. Another example is that the rain gutters were not reinstalled. The landscaping used to be gorgeous, but the gardeners are barely mowing the grass now. I will say that the new windows are nice and the new insulation was installed by someone who appeared to know what he was doing.

In addition to all this fun, there are two great, rotting hulks on the adjoining lots. They were supposed to be condos, but I guess the builder ran out of cash a couple of years ago. The two abandoned buildings are home to the usual assortment of homeless folks, etc.

In my opinion, there are better places that cost less. With all the negatives, I used to love living here because we had a great community and a great management. Now, good people are leaving due to the new management.
