I have lived in the McKenzie community since it has opened... I must agree with most of the people and their early complaints with prior management as they were lacking in basic customer service skills and following through with their promises.

Pros and Cons:

Lets start with the drawbacks of the community, as previous people had mentioned there is a problem with hearing the water through all of the walls ... especially if you are on the first floor.

Then there is the issue of poor design on the front door of the apartments and there is such a big gap that the insects basically just walk in under the door!

Unfortunately for such a nice complex there is a slight vandalism issue with several cars being broken into and scratched etc.

Now the Pros:

Beautiful complex both inside and out. Nice amenities, I have not had any major problems inside of my apartment and for the most part other than a few instances with kids at night the noise factor is negligible.

I have priced other apartments and compared to Trovas (terrible crime and parking issues).. and other close by apts this is a gem!

I have to tip my hat to Rachel, Holly and Forest, they had quite a job to do stepping in for the previous Management team with Babe and company!

Overall I have been happy with my few years at Mckenzie!

Folks you could do a lot worse! Choose carefully .... if you want some price shock go to Vacaville or Fairfield!
