I've lived here for 2.5 years, and after nearly a decade of apartment living in Texas, Arizona, and California, McKenzie is near the top of my list of best overall communities.

The newest management has been here since the middle of last year, and while there are little things here and there that can use improvement (as is the case with all apartment complexes), the service and attention have been solid overall.

If you are interested in moving here, make sure to ask about the parking situation. Parking had never been a problem before, but recently they've gone to assigned spaces, which may end up causing more problems then it solves. There's usually a smashed car window about once a month (its a very safe area, but we're near a school so its probably mischievious kids), so the assigned spaces may end up leaving some people having to park in areas which are not as well-lighted or off on the street (where the window breaks occur).

Don't let the above discourage you though, the apartments are great value, its a quiet and safe community, and I'll remain here until I buy a house or leave the area.
