What a mess

If anyone has ever had a repair completed on time, I wish they would post it up here. The four times I have needed something fixed it has taken no less than 4 days for the repair to be completed. This includes having my water heater repaired/replaced, which was not deemed an emergency so it was repaired in the order it was recieved.

The parking is an absolute disaster and that is putting it nicely. You have the rental agents telling people that every apartment comes with a covered parking spot. This is 100% false, but you only learn this once you have signed the lease. Then they let you in on the dirty little secret that there are not enough spots but you can rent a garage for and additional fee. Then there is the issue of too few uncovered spaces, which is also a very valid complaint. One apartment is occupied by two people yet they have their one covered spot and have their three other vehicles stored in and around the complex, two of which are not in working order. When asked about the over use of spaces by one apartment, the office lets you know without heistation there is nothing they can really do about it. The only problem with this, there is a rule that all vehicles must be kept in good working order.

It seems as though the only thing the office is concerned with is making sure the rent is paid on time, secondary is making sure the rent is paid on time, then they make sure your rent is paid on time. After that then maybe they will get to tenant issues. If that issue entails spending money, then you are wasting your breath to complain.

Getting a straight answer out of the office staff is next to impossible. Call three times and you can almost guarantee three different answers to your question, none of which will be correct.

The repairs that are being done to the decks and landings is not that big of a deal, if the office could tell the truth about how long the repairs are going to take. When I asked the office about the duration of the construction a few weeks ago, without batting an eye the girl told me two weeks or so weather permitting. Sounds fair enough, execept that was nowhere near being true. A friend of mine who also has the misfortune of living in the apartment complex has been dealing with different phases of the repairs for the better part of 7 months and they are not done yet.

If you are seriously considering leasing an apartment here, you must either be a masacist or it is your first stop in your apartment search. Don't be taken in by their superficial charm, it is well worth the effort to look elsewhere!
