When I first moved in about 5 years ago, the management was great, they fixed things quickly and we never had any problems. About 2.5 years ago and 3 management teams later, it's really bad. I'm afraid sometimes to go to my car at night. My car has been stolen once and broken into at least 5 times. They pretty much let anyone/anything rent from here. I've had a leaky roof for over a year now, the smoke detector is broken, the garbage disposal is broken, the oven doesn't work, and 2/4 burners on the stove no longer work. Once I asked them to spray for spiders as I had 5 black widows on my patio, they said sure, I came home to a rat trap under the sink and poison peanut butter in a tupperware container on the counter, and yes, the spiders were still there. The next time I called, the lady in the office said there was nothing they could do about spiders. Funny, b/c about 6 months later I saw the exterminator and he was more than happy to spray my patio for spiders. The parking is less than capable of handling the amount of occupants plus any guests, the security plays solitair instead of watching the property (yes, I've watched them), I was harrassed by security, b/c I was walking around the complex for exercise (8 months pregnant at the time no less)and this is not to mention the overabundant supply of unleashed pitbulls we have here. 25lbs or less' Uhm, no. Oh, yeah in a big rain storm the sidewalk floods (8 inches) so that I can't get in/out of my apartment. Cracked sidewalk everywhere, moss on the sidewalks and the cement stairs, and usually, the lighting is well, not on, but the sprinklers are.

Edit: I spoke with the apartment manager this morning. I have to say I feel much bette now that things are in the pocess of being handled/fixed. Within about 45 minutes two maintance guys were here. They fixed the burners on my stove, they have to order one part, they made the ceiling look better at least, they fixed the smoke alarm and the garbage disposal. I hope this is a good look at what the future holds with this newer management team. Hopefully, now, opening a better line of communication I will once again love where I live. I'm bumping up my ratings slightly to offset what happened today. Hopefully, the building repairs will be complete and other safety issues will be resolved soon.
