I've lived at Regency Place a few times...upgraded from a two to a three bedroom ...moved out and then came back again into a 3 bedroom...so i know a bit about the 'goings-on' around there.

The owner's must be really dissatisfied with the management because they have new management almost every 6 months!! NO LIE!! I don't know what's going on. So there's always someone new issuing statements about apartment inspections and new rules.

The office staff is very friendly but overwhelmed at times. Usually, there's one agent and one maintenance man with very little 'back-up' staff. That can be frustrating to them and tenants alike.

Yes, the entry gate is ALWAYS broken for some reason. It's fine if it's open and broken (won't close). But it stinks when it's closed and broken and you can't get in your apartment. I don't know why they changed the entry gate from the side-street (wittkop) to the main street (fulton)...because getting stuck/stopped to enter a code on a street as busy as Fulton can be VERY dangerous. Someone just wasn't thinking.

They've got a big chain-lock on the walk-thru gate facing Fulton and that's a hassle too. Who wants to walk around to the side of Wittkopp just to get to Fulton avenue'!

Also, they put down some rocks to 'beautify' the place I guess and the little kids just love 'em! Should I say more' They used them to pave the walk way from the parking lot....stupid move. How many folks have lost their footing on those loose little rocks'! Lawsuit waiting to happen.

The tenants are usually friendly, but (I just moved from there in Sept. of 2004) they can be quite LOUD. It's like they have NO CLUE that their voices carry. 2am is NOT the time to be laughing and screaming up a storm in the walkway -especially when everyone's bedrooms face the walkway. That is my biggest gripe...too much partyin' and loud-talking at times and no on-site manager to handle the issue. Security is a joke...a ghost I should say.

But, I keep coming back because the housing is clean and the requirements aren't too stringent (good' bad'). Lately, I've seen an influx of --------- and ------- americans and -although I'm not racist- I'd like to see a lot more diversity. It IS beginning to seem a little 'ghetto' nowadays.

Another benefit: they're a hop-skip-and-a-jump from Smart N Final, a grocery store and other places...so a good location.

Yeah, I'd recommend it if you just need somewhere halfway-decent to live and don't want the absolute 'hood. My credit wasn't top-notch so my choices elsewhere were somewhat limited.

Oh yeah, I just found out...they've changed management again. ;)
